  • Parhelia hits the shelves...

Once again Akbia seems to be the very first to offer a new product, this time it is the Parhelia:

    /Bigfoot

Ps. any got a clue about how much freight to Europe would cost

Now I notice again that I am living in the wrong country, oh well...

Anyways, what is this silver thingy on the top-right on this pic?

Somekind of marketing goodie? Or is it shipped in every retail package of the P?
    Specs:
    MSI 745 Ultra :: AMD Athlon XP 2000+ :: 1024 MB PC-266 DDR-RAM :: HIS Radeon 9700 (Catalyst 3.1) :: Creative Soundblaster Live! 1024 :: Pioneer DVD-106S :: Western Digital WD800BB :: IBM IC35L040AVVN07

      Hi,

      freight to europe? I don't know. :-)

But if somebody in Germany still wants to buy it (I don't), at least my favourite reseller has already listed the Parhelia.

That silver thingie is an exotic piece of hardware known as a doorknob. I have a few I can sell you for $200 apiece. Aren't they bright and shiny?

              I had the same idea

BUT do you have a doorknob (sounds like some minor fantasy monster, a distant relative of orcs and goblins ) with a Parhelia sign on it? (look closely)

That's a very special chip made out of compressed plant fibers and attached with ground up horse bones or something similar... I.E. a sticker with the FCC info on it.

Maybe the silver thing is some kind of a b*ttplug to make some reviewers happy...

Ok, I found them: not available yet anyway...

The price can't be right: almost 480 euro for the retail version...
The things I could do with that money......

How lucky I am that my wife is coming back from Japan (& Akihabara - which is a really really really nice place) in a few days...

Freigth I'd suppose would be in the range 5000-10000 jpy which is something like 700dkk?
