  • Parhelia question for triplehead.

I just got the parhelia right out of the box set it up looks kewl. My only question is how do I do triple head mode using idependent settings for each monitor? Currently all I have found is triple head stretched. Is there a way to do triple head independant?

One other question, is there any way to launch a prog on a certain monitor, ie WarCraft 3 on to the middle monitor and not the left one?

You don't - triple head is stretched only, so you cannot have independant res and refresh rates.

Don't the Matrox powerdesk tools though help you put programs into individual monitors (normal windows anyway not sure about games).

Its pretty kewl, when I launch a game now it launchs in the center window and disables the other two side monitors. That is great! Is the card able to do triple head independent or it can not do it?

streched only means no independent triplehead.

The P can only do independent res and rate (aka T&R or Timings and Resolutions) in DualHead, not TripleHead.

One more question, is it since the card has only two outputs in the back that you can only do 2 independent?

Nope, probably due to the amount of CRTC's used (I think?).

Fenrir: your right: if you use only DualHead HF, you can use to independant displays.

Rags or Kruzin I believe stated that it was a hardware limitation.

Triple head uses an external RAMDAC, so I'd guess we'll have to wait for Parhelia X (G450/G550-style-edition) to do independent TripleHead. Don't count on it Get an MMS
