Oh no KvH, I used Frag Tape for them. Easier to remove if I ever have to.

          The CoolJag Heatsink fits nicely

It also cools about 4-5 degC more than the ColdCPU Cooler.

Like the review said you can't use the screws it comes with to turn the fan around to suck the air through the Heatsink. It does perform very well blowing on the Heatsink.

This is one very nice chunk of copper

          Paul

I almost forgot..... $18.00 from these guys:

Wow! That looks great! Much better than the old fan, but:
It also cools about 4-5 degC more than the ColdCPU Cooler.
How can you read the temperature of the P.?
            Specs:
            MSI 745 Ultra :: AMD Athlon XP 2000+ :: 1024 MB PC-266 DDR-RAM :: HIS Radeon 9700 (Catalyst 3.1) :: Creative Soundblaster Live! 1024 :: Pioneer DVD-106S :: Western Digital WD800BB :: IBM IC35L040AVVN07

I'm monitoring the temp with a probe from my Digital Doc taped to the backside of "P" right over the GPU.

It got up to 44 degC with the stock heatsink. It maxed once at 42.3 with the ColdCPU and so far hasn't gone above 35.8 degC with the CoolJag Heatsink.

Nice belinassu !!! Copper sure does improve the heat transfer over an all aluminum Heatsink design.

                      - So, it is possible to attach a Socket A Cooler to the card? I was also wondering, if (i know it would look ghetto) it would be possible to fasten down the heatsink with some plastic zip ties, through the various holes in the P?

Great, mods. Looks very promising. Just a last question (opinion). What are peoples thoughts about how much a performance gain would be with the increase of the GPU Speed? Seeing a lot of people expect the bottleneck of the card to be that. It'd be nice to see, if the core was bumped up to around 230-240, that an increase of around 500-1000 3DMarks . Wishfull thinking. -
                      - ? -

                        Paul,

What are you using to hold your cooljag HS on with? I think I'll be going that route
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

                          Yes looks very nice!
I'm only wondering, what Paul has done with the step on the plate, that can be seen here:

One ram HS is missing. not enough room? And what about the noise of the CoolJag?

                          I would change the fan against the YS-TECH TMD (35 m³/h, 25 dBa or 51 m³/h, 33 dBa - first one preferred)

and here (modified mounting, because it's only 74x74 in size and does not fit on the normal 80x80 HSF):

I think ist must be possible to mount the YS-TECH TMD on the CoolJag HS.

                          *Corrected some glitches....

The "Step" is facing down in the pictures towards the AGP slot contacts so there is about a 1mm strip on that side of the GPU that isn't coverd.

I tried the opposite direction but there are some components on the card that get in the way and are too tall to fit under the "Step"

Yes, it is time to trim the oversized 30 x 30mm RAM Heatsinks.

To attach the CoolJag I used Arctic Silver heatsink paste. I coated the GPU with a very thin uniform layer and then cleaned off a small area in each corner. I used super glue - well, it was my wife's fingernail version because it has a nice little brush for applying it in each of the corners. Then I applied pressure for about five minutes and let the thing sit for about 1/2 hour before installing the card.

I think I go the same way (but why is this CoolJag so expensive her in Germany?) when I get my Parhelia, but I try to replace the fan - I don't want a starting Boing or Airbus in my tower case.

That looks very cool. Any reason why the upper right memory chips aren't covered by a heatsink?
