Anyway, what refresh rate is set for surround gaming?

What is the ideal refresh rate that should be set on each of the 3 monitors?

I am getting a good deal for Three Samsung 15" CRT monitors. I am thinking of getting it for test out Surround gaming for fun.

Will three of these monitors be fine for surround gaming?

      Take a look here> http://www.onepc.net/index.php?view=docs&doc_id=121 BIG!

I think it's more a matter of personal taste. LCDs take up less space, but the view angle abberations are still there, the screen matrix, ghosting, strange colors, resolution limitations, price/performance... for me LCD is just not there yet.

I haven't seen anything yet I would trade this Sony for. Three of them would be a gas! They are nicely tapered to the back and the cables connect nicely from underneath and don't stick out in back, 4 USB ports, etc., etc. ...relatively small footprint, but still...

You have a nice system, and it doesn't look like you tried to save money there. If your monitors are not equal to the system, it's a waste and a shame. A 15' center screen is going to get on your nerves pretty quickly and your squint is gonna get permanent!

Smaller side screens have their annoyances, but with your space situation, I would keep the Samsung (if you like it) in the middle and add two LCDs right and left, but raise them to middle or top alignment with the big one. Better for peripheral vision.

...the technology gap... perhaps in the next life...

...of course you can do anything you like. I sure wouldn't go back to anything smaller than 21' for my center screen. Certainly not for any work context, and in game playing, it's the detail in your face that gives you the thrill and the score, unless you're playing Mah Jong or Reversi. Solitaire is nice too...

Did you check the Samsung LCD Monster refrigerator link?

Eizo's new 17" LCD FlexScan L565 looks pretty good and is only 380 mm wide.

...I just have the feeling if you get three 14" or 15" CRTs or LCDs, after about two hours your're gonna kick yourself in the ass and say "What the f*ck did I do that for?" ...'course some people would be happy to have three of anything...

Do let us all know what you finally do do. Be interesting to see how it works out.

Maggi, that's super! and they include a Matrox g550 and a G450 pci with it. The prices aren't off the map, just wonder about the actual screen quality for work, play & whatall.

...I was just getting happy with my system, and now...

                  Thanks!
