most likely, it is the crippled 64bit bus that causes those delays on a G450/550, which is a clear bandwidth limitation and obviously the Parhelia has loads of more bus bandwidth and thus a lot higher fillrate.
As I said, this is a daily phenomenon I have to deal with and ever since I got a Parhelia in my new working rig, none of those delays occured ever ...
Hence, I recommend the P over any G series, even for 2D only work.
