But have anyone had any epileptic seisures, or is that only in combination with our custome laser projector???

If there is any tendency there could be reason to take action, and I would guess that matrox had to RMA if there is no software or bios solution to the problem.

it'd be hard to tell u if i had a siezure, as i don't remember them after i have them usually, except that sometimes i notice that time has seemed to have skipped by w/ me having no recolection of the events in between.

Yep that is usually the case, and it also depends on how bad your case is. But the nice thing about playing games, is that you notice if you suddenly end up dead, or the game seem to jump for some strange reason.

yah, when on medication, the larger seizures dont' happen very often, largest one i had was prolly about 20 minutes long. luckily i got to a hospital quick enough. I hope the parhelia isn't the cause, but if it is, i would certainly like something done about it.

Kruzin, we are adults and can handle a flame bait.

                  Hello Matrox Users,

I have been a Matrox user for a very long time, and I can asure
you all that this Parhelia issue with the banning and video strippings is in fact a HD issue.

This has not been the 1st time Matrox has HD problems. If you are a user of any video editing hardware from matrox, you will know what I'm talking about.

Thier is a solution, it's tedious, but effective at long run and would take a bit of time.

                  1. Call Matrox, get an RMA#, Return your card, say it's defective and theirs many intermittent problems with it and video banning and stripping issue too, whatever you can think off.

                  2. They will send you another one. Open it, install it.... , run it
for a couple of hours... call them back, and again for a RMA# send it back on their cost.

                  3. do it, again, and again...and again....

Finally, they will be pressed too: either fix the HD issue, or refund everyone. why?

Remember that this card went thru CE and FCC and CUL, maybe "TUV, i have to check"..certification and testing.. they are bound by the CE, CUL community to comply to all customer complaints and futher more institute a corrective action, otherwise they can loose certification. It matrox looses the FCC or UL, certification, they won't be able to legaly sell Parhelias in the US. Even though the certifications are more to do with consumer safety, the simple issue of this defect will be added to the product file... and this is more damaging for them, because next time they require testing for a new product, it will be harder for them to aquire it.

I wrote a letter to the CUL , CE, FCC, mayor labs in the US, stating the problems with Parhelia...you see... the banning video and strips are just the tip of the iceberg... It's my understanding by some testing done at my end... this card is so susecptable to RF interfierance, it barely made FCC Class (?) compliance. for immunity towards RF. I'm a HAM radio operator, one day I made a mistake of transmiting using a UHF portable radio @ 1 watt, about 5-7 feet from my computer.... guess what... it crashed it.

I did the same test with my Geforce 3 card.. nothing happend. That goes to show the quality of this card...think about it.

How long before we start hoping that ATI or NVidia buys Matrox out? Matrox quality and triple head on a GeForce doesn't sound like a bad thing to me?

By the sounds of it, my prediction was right. The next revision should be good, but only if the company is still alive by then.
