well, i think PowerVR would not be that bad for Matrox
- They have been in Contact before (m3D)
- PowerVR needs someone to make their Cards
- both companies have prooven they had good ideas (TBR, FAA...)

They can look into each others offices.
I's bet they play hockey against each other on M's custom rink (since M apparently doesn't have anything better to spend their $$ on besides pools and skating rinks at their sprawling HQ)...

really? I don't see it. Or are u referring to the ATI HQ in montreal? I live in Thornhill, Toronto, the "REAL" head quarter of ATI. It takes me like 2 minutes to get there lol, which always reminds me about their top-secret product is just a few hundred meters away from me. Actually if matrox's HQ is very close to ATI's then i will go and take a look too! BTW for anybody who didn't knew, ATI just extended a new 4 stories headquarter building beside the old one. Boy... if only matrox can have a new head quarter in montreal... their head quarter looks old lol (from what i have see on pictures).

??? Montreal HQ is in Dorval, Quebec, and ATI HQ is in Ontario. That's one heck of a street you're talking about!!!
And I don't think Matrox has a hockey rink. Pool and fitness center, but no rink.

Oh ok, I don't know about Matrox's Toronto offices. I used to work at Matrox Montreal, those are da HQ!!

The only thing I know about Matrox Toronto is that my bro (who worked for Matrox Graphics a few years ago) would bang his head on the wall every time he spoke to an engineer there. He told me some stories you wouldn't believe.
Like the guy in Toronto in charge of testing the chip design would start a whole complaint against the company that made the simulation software (read $$$$$) because he said it didn't work and didn't give any results. The guy escalated things, until my bro had a look at the simulation and realized the moron had forgotten to include the power sources.
Seems like the same guy didn't know how to copy a file in UNIX either.

As a sidenote, it was Matrox Toronto that was in charge of the G800 project....which was the turning point for Matrox, and lead to where they are now.
