If you ask me a 2000+ is the best deal right now, you can't beat that price performance ratio. The P4's have gotten a whole lot cheaper and are good buys, however don't be so sure that the 2,4GHz P4 OC's better than a 2400+.

Find yourself a high performance cooler from some renowned brand (Cooler Master, Akasa, Zalman, Thermaltake, etc).

Those aren't "high performance" brands if you ask me. Get an Alpha or Thermalright, wonderfull coolers. You'll need a good cooler such as the Alpha PAL8952 if you get a P4 or a PAL8045 for the XP if you're going to do some serious OCing.
