That's funny, I knew it the second I looked at it. I've had several of these cards pass through my hands, and it was the video card I put in my first system that I built. It cost me 250 USD when it was first out. Talk about pricey!

Wah! Wah!
In a perfect world... spammers would get caught, go to jail, and share a cell with many men who have enlarged their penises, taken Viagra and are looking for a new relationship.
I search a matrox card to replace my mystique under W2k, but this one is too old.
I are more interested by a g400 series, but it's deal pricey (~100€). It prove how the quality of the card is great.
If Aria will not ship it direct to you then PM/email me and I'll buy it and ship it to you. It'll cost you a bit more in postage but you'll get what you want!
Reckless > thanks for the offer.
It's a professionnal purchase, so i will pay it without VAT.
I can purchase it on the net then deliver it at your home.
But the real story is more complicated.
I have started to work on a single monitor with a g400 AGP SingleHead. Then i have added my old mystique PCI to have a second monitor on WinNT.
I have sold my g400 on Ebay and replace it by a Asus Geforce 3 V8200 deluxe. THE BIG MISTAKE.
I have never used graphic card from another manufacturer than Matrox. But the geforce was unapropriate to manage a NEC 22' FP1375x in 1600*1200 correctly. And too many crash under professionnal 3D software.(Go for a quadro with real driver but not a geforce to replace a professionnal card)
When i have heard that Matrox launched a new card (parhelia), i've kicked off the geforce out of my system and sell it on Ebay before i lose too much money on it.
For many reason i have found the launch of the parhelia very strange and i cancel my pre-order. I'm still waiting as you a new revision.
But i can't still working on a single monitor (with PCI mystique 8Mo (not 220 series), yes it's possible!!!), i want Matrox Dualhead!!!
So If nothing move in the right way in one~two month, i'll go for a g400Max. If some one have a better solution, don't hesitate.
GF3s can be okay, but not the Asus ones. Still, I can understand wanting to get a Matrox card again.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

Also IIRC the general consensus here is that G400MAX is the best of GXXX series. Got me tempted as well. G400 16SH costs more here.
That's basically the price of Ati Rages, and cheapest GF2 MX's you can still find arround here.
MAX: 40€
2nd hand 17" monitor 70-85€ and behold dualhead.
Nowhere:
- head to Germany (my collegues have smugled A3+ inkjets from Austria/Italy and collected Melversteuer/Iva)
- buy MAX/G550/Parhelia (It's likely cheaper there)
- collect melversteuer = 20% off.
That's how I'd buy a Parhelia. Matrox gives you 3 years warranty on their retail products if you have proof of purchase. (I wouldn't buy products form unknkown Taiwaneese company that way.)
