  • Parhelia 1920x1200 DVI?

    Hi all,

I've got a 128Mb Parhelia and a Sony SDM-P232W LCD monitor with native resolution of 1920x1200. I've been trying to get the Parhelia running DVI at this resolution, but without any luck. Posts over at the main Matrox tech support forum have so far not turned up anything useful, so I thought I'd ask here.

Does anyone here run their Parhelia at 1920x1200 for DVI? If so, it'd be really helpful if you could post the driver version, which flavour of Windows you're running, and what the monitor is. Did you have to do anything special to get it working, or did it just work 'out of the box'?

(Of course, if you've tried this and failed, I'd also be interested to hear about it!)

    Many thanks,

    Chris.

I'm sure that those who want to help you are also wondering what OS and driver revision your using.

Currently, it's the latest drivers and Win XP Pro, but I've tried Win2k, as well as various different versions of the drivers (1.02.00.042, 1.01.02.090 and 1.01.00.080), but none of them seem to support 1920x1200, despite the release notes for the latter stating:

"Unlocked any display modes with an aspect ratio between 1.20 and 1.80 (include all 5:4 (1.25), 4:3 (1.33),16:10 (1.60) and 16:9 (1.77) resolutions). Maximum resolution in analog is still 2048x1536. Maximum in digital is now 1920x1200."

        Hi Chris,

I'll be starting a new thread in our general troubleshooting forum on Monday outlining all the reports clients have been having with dfp's and keeping everyone updated on this status.

We're currently investigating as to why some dfp's can't get 1920 where other dfp's can along with why there are missing resolutions with some dfp's and no missing resolutions with others.
