g550 question?

I'm building a computer which needs a low profile video card and i see that the g550 suits my needs. but, looking this: http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage....106-141-01.JPG i'm wondering whether you can take the vga connector thing off? without causing the card to not function?

or do i just have to get the dual dvi g550, which seems to not have the vga connector thingie at all.

AFAIK the OEM version doesn't come with the low profile bracket. Not sure about the DualDVI though.

Oh, the low profile bracket doesnt matter. I'm building a small briefcase computer and i'll be taking the bracket off anyways.

So would the card still function without the vga connector?

You mean the g550 dual dvi? It costs a lot though. The g550 oem is only 95.
