I am using an NV30 in my primary work system now, largely so I can test more
of the rendering paths on one system, and because I feel Nvidia still has
somewhat better driver quality (ATI continues to improve, though).
    The man himself says otherwise.

ATI drivers are just plain bad if you acctually want to write software for them. They change things between driver releases without nessicarily documenting it, routinely break things and then fix things without being aware of doing so, etc.

ATI drivers are fine if the software you are running is more than a month old, but certainly not good if you intend on running any sort of recent software release. or your own.

Funny, I have never had any issues at all with my ATI card. Drivers have been rock solid, and everything works fine.
