Been using this G400 for a while now, before I had a G400SH and a G200 which are in my brother's and cousin's rig respectively. When I get my 746FX mobo/2400+ rig setup (looks like March when I get back to the UK), I'll buy a Parhelia. (To run UT2003 and FIFA2003). Not putting an nV or ATI card in my machine unless it is totally necessary/unavoidable. Cost isn't a problem, making enuf now and unless things go horribly wrong, that should continue to increase for some time yet. However I do need to save my eyes.

edit (no need to disclose my salary)

I have an old Mystique G200 in my server, and a Parhelia in my main "workstation". There's a Millennium G400 lying here somewhere in the mess, too...

No, I have owned two matrox cards, and both cards (G200 and something else along time ago) were very dismal. Matrox for months (20?) kept promising drivers that would perform, and didnt. I had heard that the matrox cards worked VERY well with Intel chips, but I had an AMD chip. I have nothing but problems with Matrox and am glad I switched. I now have a creative card (GeForce 2) and will be upgrading to a GeForce FX card soon, never, ever to go back to Matrox.

For all of you users using Matrox and like them, more power to you. You have to use and go with what works with your machine and configuration.

Anyone here will conceed that the OGL on the G200 was fubar'd for the longest time, but compatability issues with your poor choice of chipset doesn't excuse you, nor does it place blame on Matrox.
