Aspect Ratio w/ G450 TV OUT

I have a matrox g450 and can not get the TV out to perform how I want. If I watch a widescreen AVI, when it is output to the televisions it looks like a pan and scan; basically the sides of the video are chopped and it appears to be stretch vertically. A perfect circle on my monitor, appears to be an oval that is more tall than wide on my TV. If you can direct me as to which settings to enable/disable to get an avi actually like it does on the monitor, please help. I am also using DivxG400. Thanks.

emm, are you outputting a widescreen avi to a 4:3 tv with the DVD-MAX aspect ratio set to 16:9 ? what you see probably is the anormophic image on your tv.

Set DVD-MAX output to 4:3 for 4:3 tv sets.
