They already did that. They said it was "normal."

what about people who bought a "professional" graphics card and have received poor support for known defects, horrifically sub-par performance *and* drivers with issues that do not get fixed on a regular basis?

oh jesus not this tripe again.

i have to say the same thing is Wombat: "My Parhelia + 3D = banding, period."

in fact, i tend to have issues beyond banding when 3d is running.

              Yes..."this tripe" again.
I am thouroghly sick of the constant whining around here lately.
This is the Matrox Users Resource Centre, not the Matrox Crybaby Playpen.
Yes, the issue exists. Nobody is denying that.
Everyone here knows it. There is no reason to pine on about it non-stop.
If it's so bad that you can't live with it, return the card, and move on with life.
You don't need to continually come around here crying about it.
For god's sake, it's a video card. It's not like your child was born with a debilitating birth defect.

              GET OVER IT

Lets focus on the good things about the Parhelia instead. Lets see... it's a nice looking PCB, the memory layout is aesthetically pleasing, it works nice with DVI displays...

This will probably help Matrox to emty their stock of Parhelia's.....
Let's hope they get more OEM deals, I think Matrox realy could need the $$

Is there something like digital CRT's? That would be great for a parhelia too

Yes there are (rare) digital CRT's with their own DAC. IIRC Greebe has one.

don't see the benefit as it would still use the analog out on the P...hence the banding problem... but there's a way...

Nope. They would use the digital out from the parhelia and use their own DAC to convert to analogue for the guns in the tube. You just wouldn't get 10bit colour to work I guess.
