Apparantly, it was supposed to be released last friday, but they decided to add a feature having something to do with media clips.

Well, perhaps this Friday...

Nobody said anything about the next drivers to be released being DX9 drivers.

Don't hold your breath.
It will happen eventually, but not in the next release or two for sure...

...it seemed that Haig was implying it...

He was implying some new features...not necesarily DX9 support...

Either way, when the DX9 drivers do finally come out, don't expect anything earth shattering. They aren't going to make any real difference, even in FartMark2003...

Remember the Parhelia isn't quite fully DX9 compliant hardware wise too...

I'm already happy if we get a driver Soon™ that fixes some bugs (fog bug, etc). Instead of a useless dx9 driver, because there are no games yet that make use of dx9.

There's better stuff needed than DX9...Aniso/FAA perhaps?

Right on! That means rather than 1-5 fps I'll get 2-6 fps? :-) Seriously though, I'd like some new drivers for Linux and Windows. Apparently (according to scumhawk) Dungeon Siege is very broken in the newest ones. Maybe with newer drivers I can get higher than 8360 on 3D Mark 2001SE with my 3ghz computer???

I know this should probably go to the gaming forum but what problems specifically are you having with DS???
