Why is G400MAX excellent?

I have a G450,G550 and G400max.
i benchmark them with 3dmark2000 and 3dmark2001
the score is :

G450 G550 G400MAX
3dmark2000 1600 3000 3300
3amark2001 600 1300 1600

why is G400MAX superior than others?
form framework information of matrox,the G450 and G550 very similar with G400MAX

Well, for one it runs at a higher frequency and has faster RAM onboard.

the core of G400MAX is 150MHz,Ram is 200MHz 128bit SDRAM .
G450 is 122MHz/122MHz 64bit DDR SDRAM
does G550 is 64bit DDR SDRAM?
Programable Vetex Shader is integrated in core of G550.
G550 is 133MHz/133MHz DDR SDRAM

the performance difference is most likely caused be the superior memory bus system of the G400 series and as said before by higher clock frequencies

g550 has no vertex shaders, but it does have EXTRA texture units compared to the others.

Technically it does. probably not competible with directX thought. Designed for matrix pallette skiiing (HeadCasting ). But who knows. Maybe it's just drivers limitations.
