Silly gits can't find a bleedin' hospital. Called them and told them where it is. Should get it before 5pm. of course I'm on call so I'll be at the Hospital then. (skiving off for lunch at the moment)

I'm hoping that I don't have a DOA card. Does anyone know whether the Parhelia is compatible with the KT7 mobo. I get the beeps that you get when no videocard is detected when I insert the P. I am wondering though whether the card just needs to be seated properly. (I've tried, and it does look properly seated) I have no other machines around to test it with and no PCI video cards either. Popped the trusty G400 back in and no probs

First card I had wouldn't work in a KT7, same as you get just the beeps signifying no video card.

Decisions, decisions decisions. I hate sending back stuff as it means packing and waiting. I think I'll spend the 200 quid and get that ASROCK 746 based board, a 2400+ and 512 MB RAM. If it won't work in that system then I'll rma it.

Ordered asrock, the 2400+ and the mem. Hopefully get new system in place by weekend. Any chance I can avoid a total reinstall initially. (Will be doing one next week)

Why asrock?

Because it is available and cheaper than the MSI, which isn't performing well at present. If I waited I'd have gone with the ECS L7S7A2
