    a question about G450

    i find a black line in the heatsink of G450
    some one tell me that it can detect temprature of core.
    i put a fan ,link the same slot ,but the fan didn't run
    why?

    Well, the wire was used to ground the heatsink. I'm not sure about its use, but probably for stability.
    I ever owned a G450 LE (with 16MB SDRAM), I found the connector for heatsink grounding was not powered. That's why the fan did not run.

      i am doubt about the black line.
      has the g450 overburn protection?

            all G400 were fanless apart for the MAX...
            Its always a good idea to put one on tho, just for stabilities sake.
            My G400 ran very hot until i fanned it.

              No, the only thing it does is connect the heatsink to ground.
