Parhelia and 1U, lose PCI 1?

I'm going to be working in a Micro-ATX case, and between my modem, my M-Audio Omni Studio, and my Adaptec 21960; I just can't spare a PCI slot for cooling. However, being a musician, I need a quiet video card cooler. So that brings me to the question.

I'm looking at the either the CoolJag or the Icicle 350 with a fan replacement for the quieter. Will these interfere with PCI 1, or will I have at least 3 or 4mm for air intake?

And it is difficult to find quiet 60x60x10mm fans...

Is the standard Parhelia fan really that loud ?

At least in my rig, every single HD is creating so much noise that I cannot hear the Parhelia at all.

Thanks, now that I know I have to go ATX, that fan is the front runner.

If it were my gaming rig, or my net/htpc system, it wouldn't be a problem. I'm always pretty anal about sound and noise, but in those cases it would be bearable. But my music box needs to be as silent as possible, or it overshadows the accuracy and silence of my B&W CM2 speakers.

that's what I thought, but honestly, I have no idea how loud the Parhelia standard fan really is and hence I asked for it (most likely I should have chosen other words for avoiding these confusions)

Can't you use external modem or a MATX board with builtin modem? ATX is much bigger than MATX you know...

I could, but I have a small desk, and already quite a bit of clutter. I'm going to have a 21" and a 17" LCD, the Omni Studio breakout box, Sennheiser HD590's, a Denon AVR 3801, and of course the mouse and keyboard. The desktop Cooler Master ATC-610 was going to help a lot, but I should be able to squeeze it in with the tower ATC-710, it'll just be a little more cramped. But I think it'll be easier than trying to control another small external component, especially with all the un/plugging I'll constantly be doing.

I'll probably be better off with the tower anyway, since I'll be able to get the dual Athlons I had to veto for MATX, and I'll have more room for various media readers/writers, and more hard drives. I'll have a little extra space to work with for silent cooling solutions too.

Unless someone knows of a P4 MATX board (preferably DDR Intel chipset) with a built in modem, anyway. Or for that matter, maybe a 760 based Athlon board. SiS would be acceptable too, but not VIA with their PCI issues.

May be you can consider Lianli PC50, PC30, PC35 and PC39.
The PC39 is very good but is very hard to buy too.

Or the small CM atx case... was that a ATC-510?
