Tips for editing Pins file (bios hack)

I remember peeps talking about a bios hack on the Parhelia,
how do i go about doing this?, i want to change my parhelia bulk to a retail, is this dangerous providing i know it can run at retail speeds?

What programs do i need?

And have most Murcers do this or do you just use powerstrip?

IIRC, it's worth searching for both "bios hack" and "bioshack" - the second one always reminds me of a little shed for keeping green goop in for some reason
