BBz gettin the boot

Adding another thanks to the BBz, for hinting at insider knowledge and much more besides - every BB on the forum is very much appreciated as a source of knowledge

Sadly though, another step for Matrox, and still no change of direction...

Tis a sad sad day

I wanted to start of by saying that Haig and the rest of the Matrox employees we have been dealing with have been great. It has been a wonderful experience for me to work with the guys and all the BBZ. Well except for Omar of course.

When Haig made the announcment to us the first thing I did was check my calendar. Thought perhaps it was Apr 1st. Alas, it was not. No evil prank being pulled on us. No devious scheme for a good laugh. The only thing it was, was the truth.

Being that I am not a real gamer I had never cared about silly things such as FPS. Benchmarks where for little kids trying to show off to others. The only bragging right I ever cared about was the clarity of what I was looking at. And without a doubt Matrox puts the others to shame.

With every new card the hype seemed to get bigger and bigger. At first P was supposed to be a nVidia killer. As a loyalist I bought into the hype. Not so much for myself. but for Matrox. I wanted to see the company that makes my favorite card become a household name. I wanted to hear the braggers say that their P could run circles around their nVidia.

I have had the pleasure of watching the crappy Canadian company become the king in video cards. Got to watch M charge more for a sub par card then their competition.

And it makes me wonder. Do those in charge care only about their wallets? Why do people like Haig stick with a company like this? And how much longer until we start saying Matrox coulda been a contender, but choose not to.

I have said enough for now. I hope that one day someone at M will wake up and realize with a little effort they could stomp the competition into a mud hole. All they need to do is want to do it.

Perhaps instead of invading Syria next, we should send the US Troops into Canada to liberate Matrox. We could put Haig in charge. And put Ant in charge of PR. LOL

Seriously tho, the one thing I can think of for closing the beta testing program is they may have found some bugs on their next card, right after the chip was in production... (Maybe it's not in production yet, but probably the chip is taped out and they decide to skip this debugging step or something.

Of course, this is jsut an idea of mine. Take it as a grain of salt!

Afronaut, I'm going to say this once, and only once.

While the BB's all have distinct personalities - and you don't know half the BB's that are here.

They have provided a wealth of information and help to this board and matrox users in general.

The sum total of help you have provide is zero, the total amount of trolling you have done is about 97% of your posts.

When you have provided even 5% of the support these people have to the community here, then I will maybe listen to your comments, until then. SHUT UP

afronaut do you know anything about there situation?i dont so how do you know the bbz didnt get treated like shit?how do you know that they dont know the next card is a peice of shit and is it beyond the realms of possibility that they may know a little more about the matrox situation than you do and choose not to buy matrox as a result? im not saying any of the above are true but it s not right to call people a bunch of basturds based on not buying something.

Matrox was so impressed with the folks here that they started their own Boards as to not have anyone confused with the Flavor that was dished out here by Matrox Beta Testers.

I would have fired these people long ago and I'm glad that they were finally fired.

Ant made his bed and let these BB's spew anything at people that they felt like while scolding and flaming anyone for half the verbage. There were so many good people here and a great community years back but like so many they had enough and moved on.

Afronaut while it's true that some of the BBz (and other forum members) didn't behave correctly all of the time, that's no reason to do the same now, is it? I still remember when you came here just to flame and annoy people - which will not help and nor matrox, and won't "bring back the good old times".

Yea. ture. It's just some crazy speculations... but what made me think of that is how Matrox deal with the banding issue...

It's sad, but the banding issue is probably never going to be addressed...

Yeah and that is also why they were only open during normal business hours and still referred people to this site during other times. Plus too this was not an official Matrox site funded by Matrox so therefore they did not want Ant to have to incurr anymore additional cost than needed.
