Hello. I'm thinking of buying a G550. I have a widescreen Sony CRT and like to run the res at 1920x1200, preferrably with a high refresh and bit depth. The current nVidia GeForce MX2 16MB is a tad too weak for that although it can do 16:10.
1. Is that 16:10 aspect ratio possible on a G550, or just 4:3?
2. Is there any effect on Q #1 if you hook up a second CRT running at 1600x1200 which *is* 4:3?
3. I'm trying to decide wihch of the two models to get, dual DVI or the one with VGA+DVI connector. Do they both produce the same visual quality on CRT monitors with CRT on *both* connectors?
The VGA+DVI (with one DVI -> VGA adapter) variety will be sufficient if I am going run two CRTs but I'm thinking why not be prepared if I should ever get get two DVI monitors in the next couple years. In the short term (1 to 2 years), I will definately be running two CRTs.
Thanks.
