  • I wonder how did funky monkey get the impression that anyone expected a gamers card?
I believe that most of Matrox's current customers play games *occasionaly*, and concentrate on doing something constructive with their machines... To hell with 3D marks and fps counters.... If my card runs any game in 1024x768 with medium details, I'm more than happy...

A shame that almost *NO* tv-set in Europe does support Component video, and almost *all of them DO support RGB

      • I just want something that will replace my G400, for TV output, and play the occasional LAN game (Carmageddon Worms etc...)

The TV-out from Matrox is second to none....

        • You can say that aloud! I replaced my G400 recently with a Radeon7500-Saphire and TV-Out just won´t work

Even if the picture quality from the Radeon is overall good, the G400 beats the Radeon with true-colour any day!

Boy, am I going to be happy about an affordable Millennium with TV-Out!!!

          • Curious on where the G650 I mean P650 will perform compared to a ATI Radeon 8500 LE.

Looking to change it out for better quality...speed is ok...so if its comparable but I get the jump in quality, I am in.

            • I think the performance of the original Parhelia is quite close to or little less than Radeon 8500 LE, so the performance of Millennium P is definitely going to be less than your current graphic card. Image quality could be a lot better though, I think...

              • Considering that the 8500 performs better than a standard Parhelia and the "fact" that p650 is less than a half P performance wise...

You do the rest of the math.

Edit: Ooops, didn't see your post Mikko.

is 64Mb enough for that? edit:without performance loss.
(Fishing for some more performance...only need 1024x768 for playing on a TV screen or watching DVD's....)

then it's a good thing that won't matter to those who'll be buying them.

                              • Well theese cards look like perfect challenge to Quadro 4 200 and 400 and to low two Wildcat cards price, certified drivers and multimonitor-wise.

Also perfect for Audio workstations, DTP and videoediting markets.

As per gaming cards, Radeon 9500 pro retails for about as much as P750 does.
