Now REAL linux support would be REAL interesting!

Oh wait, IF, for whatever reason, if the P750 is clocked the same as Parhelia... could it be faster due to AGP 8x? (unlikely though)

Did it not in fact refer to the 3 slogans: Quality, Performance and Features?

So, we have these with the same lack of Quality Control, half of the already weak performance, and less features than everyone else Woop!

        (apologies...forgot about Glyph antialiasing...)

Not forgetting about GigaColor of course - but do all the new Radeon's have this?

I would guess P650/750 will be clocked a bit higher than Parhelia.
            Maybe around 250/250.
But with 1/2 the specs, it will still run noticably slower.
            Remember...it's the SunDOG
Also, since this is a new rev of the chip, one could assume that the banding and FAA issues have been worked on and improved...

Will M P-Series be as fast as Parhelia in 2D, or at least faster than G-Series?

The P650 is very interesting for me. I intented to buy the G550 for my new computer. I hope that now I have a better choice.

This is what I was looking for. But like you, it appears I can only assume as well. can anyone clear this up?

                Thanks,

This is really the kind of card for Matrox' core market - the business/financial desktops. It's priced well, has good multimonitor features and IQ, and in the P650's case is silent. This is the kind of card with which Matrox can withdraw into their core market, sell a lot of cards quietly, make some money, and hopefully return to the mainstream in two or three years with their next G400. I think that's the best we can hope for w.r.t. Matrox' survival.

                  My two pence.

                  Edit: market -> card

Do these may shipments mean that we won't see any review before may?

I already have applications in mind for the P650 and the P750.

A P650 for my dad (running a KyroII now, and now started working as a photographer)

A P750 for my video editing addicted grandma.

Did they keep the Banding ©® (patent pending) feature, or is it gone too?

It would probably be safe to assume that the Banding (tm) module from P would be to expensive and take up to much die space, and thus would be removed from this series.

But that is only my guess guys, I don't know.

K6-III: I almost forgot that! The P650 is passively cooled, so it makes a very good(and quiet) basis for a HTPC as well. Thanx for the idea!

So how long until we see some reviews? I'm itching for a new card and if P-Milleniums have 3D performance around Radeon 7500 or some GF3 (or even somewhat less) I know someone who's preordering the card... Me...
