Could you provide a honest comparison of TV out quality between G400/G450/G550/P/Px50? C't (a german computer magazine which I really trust, and who do very scientific tests) said P's output quality (both TV and VGA) isn't as good as a G450's, and I think they said that G550's TV out wasn#t on par with G450's.

I'll do a roundup of tv-out quality of lots of cards for MURC somewhere in the near future... inclusion of a Parhelia in the roundup depends entirely on wether I can get my hands on one.

Image quality on the second head is clearly worse than on the first head, Soupy

                Hi,
does anyone knows if the last Signalquality Bug in the Parhelia will haven been fixed in the new ParheliaLXs ???

If really am a big Fan of Sq and so if it is fixed, then i will change my G550 for P750.
                Yours faithfully,

Got a 16Mb G200 that is really long in the tooth, if the performance was anywhere near a GF3Ti I'll buy one in a heart beat!

all i want to know is how it performes with Avid xpress PRO (since they are now recomending an NVIDA quadro) and discreet Combustion 2..... these are my two main programs .... OGL performance is what i need to know about....

you should probably get your hands on to mx400, gf2ti as performance would be somewhere there, i assume
i really don't want matrox only cards comparison, get one-two nvidia's, ati's older cards, too.
                        thanks, mate

ut2003 benchmark is a must have. 3dmark2001se would be a somewhat good comparison also
and of cource surroundgaming, that concerns me most.

Why mx400 instead of some real workstation cards?

Soupy, the benchmarks reasons are really impressive!!
                          I wonder how it performs?

Don't expect much in the way of 3D performance.
The P-LX is in every way 1/2 the chip the original P is.
I won't be at all surpised if we see game performance 50-70% of P...

lets see 3DMark and Quake or something. P vs. 750 vs. Radeon 9600 or some other mid range card.

I'm more of a beleiver that it won't be too far from P's performance, except where the extra memory will be needed.
Don't you find it rather weird there are only 64Mb versions available?
They would eat into P sales. (regular, not light )
The P barely used all 4 TMU's(4x4), here i reckon on a 4x2, so perfs would be a little bit slower, but not by much, and only in 3D.
128bit mem won't matter. Still, if you want good 3D, get a 9500pro, they are flyingly fast, and relatively cheap too!
But for films etc, Matrox is way better.....
