Sending a email to them now! Vertex Shader 2.0 IS in the whitepapers of Parhelia, and it was one of many reasons I bought the card!

Quad DirectX® 9 Vertex Shader Array

Btw. This is also in the whitepapers for Parhelia, but does the current drivers suport it?

    64 Super Sample Texture Filtering

    This is from their page......
"Dual-textured pixels with 16-sample anisotropic filtering at comparable performance to dual-textured pixels with trilinear filtering on competing GPUs"

I except Matrox to suport these things they have announced that they will suport in new drivers. If they are not going to suport it, then they should remove it from the whitepapers, and make a anouncement that they are not going to suport it, with a reason why!

@K6-III can you put a link to this tread in the Matrox Tech forum?

Sent it to sales. I also complained about the banding, as I'm currently making a demo with DirectX, and debugging almost causes me to throw up after an hour or having head-aches, could this be related to epilepsy? I never had such problems before in the disco with strobos-lights?

Definitly not epilepsia, unless you had strange smells or sounds before throwing up.

epilepsy and epileptic attack are two little diferent things...basically everybody can have the second thing (if a factor that causes attack on that somebody occurs...)
and epilepsy is more like attack...without a reason (or when that reason is very common)

and simple headache...I wouldn't worry too much, I mean, some nvidia cards are causing headache to me
perhaps in the same way banding is not liked very much by you...

But...if you want to be certain...go to a neurologist...EEG will give the answer for sure...

hehe nope dude, though the banding effect has shown to give slight increase in epileptic seizures, the symptomes would be totally different. If you have Petit Mal, the condition is now known as absence seizures, which neatly describes the momentary lapse in awareness that occurs during an episode. This can happen many times a day, and is caused by a brief disruption of the electrical activity in the brain. It often looks a bit like daydreaming, which can mean that it has been happening for a long time before anyone realises what is going on.

If you have Grand mal epilepsy, a seizure begins suddenly. Without warning, the person loses consciousness and experiences the following symptoms:

                1. Becomes rigid (extends the arms and legs, arches the back) and falls down

                2. Utters a cry (the "epileptic cry") as the diaphragm contracts and forces air out between the contracted vocal cords

                3. Has synchronous jerking movements of the arms, legs, and trunk muscles
                4. Involuntarily passes urine (urinary incontinence) and sometimes feces (fecal incontinence)

Within two minutes or less, the seizure subsides, leaving the person confused and sleepy. Over the following 24 hours, he or she may complain of sore muscles, headache, fatigue and difficulty concentrating.

But of course each person may experience it differently and have some and not all the symptomes.

And you also have focal epilepsy.. which can affect any neuronal circuit there is, giving various symptoms, according to the centers affected.

                edit... had to add focal.

                  Hi, everybody!

                  Oh. You're welcome.

All of hardware is improved for the first time by the connection between company and customers.
So sending mails makes good Matrox's hardware.

I like Parhelia, so I hope Parhelia become good choice card.

I am completely floored by this.

I don't have time to harass sales everytime I find out Matrox has failed to deliver. I know very well that requesting this feature is going to cause them to drop another. Do they have no full-time driver developers left? If you can't support your card, open source your fscking drivers!

Damn it. I should have bought an ATI.

I would definitely agree on this.
Now I can't use FreeBSD and BeOS, and Linux at 50% only.

Just emailed Matrox Sales about the linux situation, and posted it here at Murc

                        Hopefully they'll listen....

Just emailed them with the request to enable vertex shader 2.0 via the drivers.

Subject: Please make sure that vertex shader 2.0 will be support with new drivers for parhelia

See request in the subject line.

                          Best Regards,
                          Wingleader

I personally think it's a strange thing that you have to ask for certain features being enabled through drivers if they normally should and must be enabled because of the card being able to and because they were promised when the card came out.

wouldn´t ONE mail with all our signatures not be a bit more helpfull to matrox?

I mean, do they really want everybody at murc to spam them?
This sig is a shameless atempt to make my post look bigger.
