  • Independant Mode vs Streched Mode

I am new to this multiple monitor thing and would greatly appreciate some input on the pros and cons of "Independant Mode vs Streched Mode".

I am currently using "Independant Mode" with a features unit and just can't seam to see the benefits of "Streched Mode".

This of course is due to my total lack of experience with this alternative, that is why I would like to stand on the shoulders of others in order to "see the light".

    Thanks

In stretched mode, you're able to do Surround Gaming.
If you are into doing productive stuff, you can lay out all your tool palettes on all three monitors.

I personally use 2 CRT + TV in Independent + Feature most of the time.
I change to 3xStretched with 3xCRT whenever I'm going to play some game in Surround or when I need the extra desktop space.

I use the stretched mode to build web pages. I can drag and drop from one monitor to the other. It also help when I am editing pictures. It gaves me more room to work. 2048x 768 is my desk top size.
