this is just another slap into their customers face and I won't buy or recommend any Matrox product ever again.

Anybody knows a good lawyer that might want to jump onto this ?

why would ATI / NV care about Matrox Their market share is so small that they would probably think putting in a lawyer is a waste of money

and hell ya. i use to be "proud" of the fact that I am a Matrox user. Now, I am like... telling others to get ATI/nV (ok, nv gone downhill too) stuff.... lol...

well...you'd care if it were to play games I guess...for that I have an ATi 9700 (pretty damn fast enough for me) and a P750 for work. I don't play as much as I work so I don't care if IQ is not as good as on the P. For work though, I'm so glad I got rid of the i815E onboard vga...plus I get to connect 3 screens or 2 independently. Productivity has never been higher

Anyway, if you completely forget about games, M still make excellent cards. Just don't buy into their marketing mumbo jumbo, get the facts.

That's exactly the problem Kurt... they change the facts on the fly or lead you to believe that a feature that has not yet been implemented (in software) will be done at some future date and then... you have this mess, over and over and over.

This has happened to virtually every product since the G200 fiasco.

Personally this wreaks of slick (legalese/psychobabble/technobabble) talkin salesmen/lawyers and one specific engineer who makes my skin crawl.

@Greebe: facts are not what they put on their websites. I have a P750 with 3 LCD screens attached on it. That's a fact. The P750 has a better IQ than my Sapphire Radeon 9700. That too is a fact.

All the DX9 talk I couldn't care less about. The clock speed issue is a serious mistake on their part though.

Kurt, I am fully knowledgable of what is online and also what is not online. ie know perdy much the entire story from the inside out. Wanna guess what the projected and anticipated clock speeds were supose to have been? Why there is banding, why there were huge delays in getting out to market, why features were not implemented, why they cost so bloody much etc etc etc?

This is kinda like you telling Haig he doesn't know his products lol

Production problems or management sitting on it, thinking there was no need for such a product for a while ?

...why features were not implemented,

Problems in the chips or "someone" thought some features shouldn't be implemented ?

...why they cost so bloody much

I would say that every Matrox product is more or less overpriced, elitistic attitude regarding their products ?
Can it really be high production costs for Parhelia ?

Guessing the NDA is still in effect and you can't tell us yet.
