  • Old matrox cards

    We would like to make a table about Matrox and other graphics cards. Unfortunatly we haven't got enough information about the older Matrox cards (Ultime, Impression, the orignial Millenium and Mystique). We need some information about the core and memory clock, the memory bus type (bits number), the technology of the fabrication (x nm for example) and fotos. If somebody can help us please do it. You can post all informations to my mail adress: bankoz@freemail.hu

    Search these forums. It's been done multiple times in the past.
    Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

      I try to search some usefull information but i don't find (I found some information, but it's not new information for us unfortunatly /e. g.: mill 1 core clock/). So if you remember what was that topic where it's has been done please tell me. I don't want to ask questions which has got the answer: use the google. , but i really not find these datas.

            Thansk for your replay, it's a nice collection.

            But there is some thing, what i dont understand:
            Mga-g100 sdram version core clock 42 (in the text), or 66(in the picture) Mhz? (Sorry but I don't speak Chinese.)
            The Mystique 1 has 220MHz ramdac and 90MHz memory clock? I know only the 170MHz ramdac version was in product and memory clock was 100MHz.
            The millenium with mga-2064, not has 50MHz core clock and 66MHz memory clock?

                i give you some explain£º

                G100 has two version£ºMGA-G100 and Productiva G100,one is 42Mhz another is 66Mhz;

                mystique has two version too:mystique and mystique 220,one RAMDAC is 170Mhz,another is 220 Mhz.the chip is 1064S or 1164;

                my millennium is 42Mhz/42Mhz function.

                sometimes,the same card with different bios has different frequecy.example,the MGA-G200 is 84/84 function,my G200 is 117/117 function.

                  Mystique: now ok, i thought you said there was mystique (the original) with 170 and 220MHz dac and there was mystique 220, so i just misundersand.
                  Only three question: if g100 has two version; 42MHz core for mga-g100 and 66MHz for newer Productiva, why can i see a matrice one of your g100 this write: 108/108? And all the g100 cards have got 108MHz memory clock? And can you tell me some data for your impression (or impression plus)?

                    i have made a mistake
                    108/108 means: the core Frequency is 108Mhz and memory is 108Mhz.
                    MGA G100 's core is 42Mhz, Productiva's core is 108Mhz

                    impression is matrox the earliest PCI Video Card.
                    chip code:Athena,Atlas,DUBIC,TITAN and HELENA
                    these chip code with the same core,MGA-I.
                    the memory on board is 2/4 MB EDO RAM

                    Ultima is a stronger impression,can hold 8MB memory.

                    it is my understand,might wrong.because it is a long time ago,many software have different explain.i use MXINFO look out the information.

                        hmm... i never know there are so many different types of Matrox PCB level product. Anyways...

                        I thought I should share with you guys about this one: at school I saw a motherboard integrated with a Matrox Millennium II graphics chips! I was kinna surprised by that... lol... I think there were 2 MB on it... IIRC...

                        Its a mobo based on the Intel AGPset...

                            Can somebody tell me the core and memory clock of p750 and p650? (Ok I can count it if i see a fillrate test but it's not so exact.)P650 has similar pipline set-up? (2 pipline and 4 texture per pipline in one step?)
                            UtwigMU if you can say some information i will welcome.

                              IIRC it's 250 for P750 but I'm not sure.

                              Do a search as it has been posted.
