An immensely long time has passed since my computer has been graced with a graphics card created by the godlike people at Matrox. I have faint memories of endlessly tinkering with my Mystique 220, in order to make it work perfectly with the original Tomb Raider.
I received my brand new Matrox Parhelia 128MB OEM for Christmas today, and it is quite possibly the most magical device to ever befall the human race. I mean it's just so good - I'm practically creaming myself... The quality of the graphics in absolutely everything I've tried just defy belief - whether it be Photoshop / Premiere / DVD playback, or a quick stab at Medieval Total War. I don't think I can really afford to get with the whole multi-monitor mantra that lots of you people seem to have, but I'm sure that must be pretty funky too!
Anyway, this is probably the most uninteresting thread you've ever read in your life, but it has been ages since I have been THIS enthused with a piece of graphics technology (all of the dire and intensely uninteresting solutions from nVIDIA and ATI have been enough to make me shed countless bitter tears)... and I needed to tell the world!
Merry Christmas & THANK YOU MATROX!!!
