Hello all,
I've been building this watercooled system of mine for a few weeks and everywhere I looked, all the waterblocks I found said they were incompatable with the Matrox Parhelia, but they never really said why. So I tried it anyway. A Koolance GPU-180-L06 works just fine.
The chip is a little thick so the screws dont all come together perfectly, and the chip is bigger than the contact area on the waterblock, but its cooling great, and the chip has never felt this cold. A little bit of old school artic silver and things are perfect.
What I want to know is why everyone else says that the only way to watercool a Parhelia is with some custom made rig. I had all but given up when I decided to just take a chance.
