    Good old G400 series. My Max looks like it is the last Matrox card I will own judging by the mistakes Matrox has made in recent years. It looks like it would be at least another year or so before they could come up with a contender even if they corrected their infrastructure and management. Too bad ... they were such a good company.

      My G400 16SH is on the shelf together with Millennium PCI, waiting to be rebuilt into Linux box or server.

        Utwig, if you're just planning to make a server, sell those two second hand; you can get a fair bit for used Matrox cards.

        Well on whim thismorning I pulled my G400 out of its bag and gave the GPU a hard push, put it in the comp, and the thing works! Could the chip have been loose?

          NO, and don't do that. You will only weaken the BGA solder contacts
