Oops just realised the 2nd head of the Radeon is DVI! So either I find a way to use the S-Video out on the Radeon or change the hardware.

It ocurs to me that the real problem I have is with the flickering picture of the Radeon on the TV.

In fact I have the same problem with the G400 but it usually goes away after a few minutes. Usualy but not always. Sometimes I have to switch the output to NTSC (my TV accepts both) and that fixes the problem at the cost of picture quality (I see some faint horizontal lines on the screen). Sometime it takes 10 minutes for the G400's signal to sync with my TV and stop flickering.

Does this sound like the problem might be the TV? Not that I can change it, but at least Í'll stop agonising over the whole thing...

Have you ever experienced this problem with the TV?

I just played with my Radeon. With a DVI->VGA dongle, I tried to send an interlaced signal via the second head with no succes. It seems like the Radeon can only ouput a interlaced res via the first head. The P750 can do that on the second head (wich is better), and I suppose on every head.

Something I just discovered while doing that : when disabling overlay function, the movie pictures on bove cards are the same. But with overlay enabled the Radeon is far sharper and brillant as the P750. It seems here that the radeon is processing the video stream, while the P750 not.

So if you want to live with your Radeon and have RGB quailty, no alternative, you have to setup your PC with a remote PC and VNC, or buy an additionnal Radeon PCI (cheap)

I have no flickering, but my TV is 100Hz.

        Thank you

Just wanted to say thanks to greinedo and everyone else who helped with my TV-Out problems a few weeks back. I had to leave on business and didn't get the chance to say so then but I appreciate it.

I'll start trying to tweak my card tonight so I'll no doubt be posting more questions soon.

        Thanks again.
