Hm, new product in summer?
Buy P8x now or wait for something that could (!) be faster, if it really comes
What do the Matrox insiders think about this?P IV 3,06 Ghz, GA-8ihxp i850e, 512 MB PC-1066 RDRam, Parhelia 128 mb 8x, 40 + 60 gb IBM 7200 upm/2048 kb HD, Samtron 96 P 19", black icemat, Razer Boomslang 2100 krz-2 + mousebungee, Videologic sonic fury, Creative Soundworks

take it as grain of salt.
IMHO it's collection of rumours and guesses written on several boards by individuals. (a sort of info that at least partially it will be prooven right, because it has hints to so many directions.)
so, IMHO (again ), it does not bring anything new to the table, that could be said "pretty sure"."Dippadai"

Haig said that Matrox will come with something this summer,...
This thread is a mix of the 8x card and the reference to "summer"

Summer will be something else per Haig, as per Kruzin's hints it's going to be a marvel.
Considering that QID pro sports PCI Express compatibility: Could be that there's a new core with native PCI Express support but since AGP8x (which is also most likely on QID pro) core is on Med cards since December 2001, this is unlikely as there will be AGP, PCI 64/PCI-X and PCIe market overlap and Matrox has too small marketshare for native core support to be viable (even nVidia opted for bridge solution). So I think Matrox will go with AGP->PCIe bridge as well.Last edited by UtwigMU; 20 April 2004, 13:05.

A new matrox version of an all in wonder would fit the bill very nicely.
In Summer it is normally hot, but i doubt there would ever be a MAX showing up again.______________________________
