  • Matrox RT.x100 will it work with my mobo?

Could someone who knows for sure please confirm that the Matrox rt x100 is compatiable with my motherboard (Tyan Thunder K7X S2468). I just need to be 100% sure it'll work before we go out and spend the $1000.

    Thanks,
    Danny E.

    My system specs:
Tyan Thunder K7X (S2468) with Integrated SCSI
    Dual AMD MP 2100
1.5 gb of registered DDR PC2100 ram
Seagate 36 gb SCSI hd for windows/installed apps (i believe its 15k rpm tho its maybe 10k)
a bunch of 7200 rpm IDE hds for storage
    SB Audigy platinum soundcard

And heres what Matrox support said:
Although we have not tested that exact motherboard, we do not see a foreseen problem using the Tyan Thunder K7X S2468. Though we cannot guarantee that you will have no problems. We think the probabilities are very slim to none that you would. We hope that this helps you out a little but we would strongly recommend that you visit the user forum. You may get great hints and tips and maybe run into someone that has the same motherboard as you.

You might do better posting in the "Desktop Video" section of these forums. There will be many more x100 users over there (most of the DV guys don't post in the other sections).

    Good luck!
