ah... it's like jumping 4 or 5 years back in time.

This time, I am about to make some Retro clocking. There's actually 2 systems waiting:
    1. QDI SuperSocket 7 mobo and 64MB stick of PC133 and 64MB stick of PC100 waiting, plus unlocked Pentium 133MHz. (runs at least at 1.5 x 100MHz with standard cooling. )
    2. Pentium II on 440BX platform (actually Asus P2B)

Any suggestions how to rip off the original cooling from the G200? it looks like there's quite lot of glue on the core, which I am about to remove and replace with something a bit better stuff

I found with the ol g200,cooling the memory paid off more than cooling the core....

Yea...the stock HS is plenty, esp. if you add an old 486 or pentium1 fan to it.
      Core2 Duo E7500 2.93, Asus P5Q Pro Turbo, 4gig 1066 DDR2, 1gig Asus ENGTS250, SB X-Fi Gamer ,WD Caviar Black 1tb, Plextor PX-880SA, Dual Samsung 2494s

use the hair dryer technique. Heat the back of the G200 PCB. Do it after intense use will also help

That's how I got my G550 HS off...

        my G550 system right now:

        Pentium 2 350MHz (100MHz FSB)
        Asus P2B 440BX
Matrox Millennium G550 with orb mod
        192MB sdram pc100

If I can find a faster slot 1 CPU for this sytem... i'd be even better

oh btw, its actually a pretty decent system lol

yes, I was bored lol, but using it as a home file server is good
