  • Parhelia cables/adapter

    Anyone know if the cables and adapter for the Parhelia cards are available seperately through any retail stores?

    Regards,
    Nick

    Don't think you can get 'em at a brick & morter outlet, but shopmatrox.com has cables here;

      Thanks Dr. Mordrid. Unfortunately, the Parhelia DVI to VGA adapter (not the Y cable) that I'm looking for is not listed on the site. I've sent an email request. If the adapter is not avialable, the solution is to use an LCD monitor for that port.

        The DVI-VGA adapter is a standard one, same as other mfgs. use. You should be able to find one fairly easily. Doesn't have to be a Matrox part, or specificly for a Parhelia...

          Thanks Kruzin. I will hit the local computer stores on Tuesday. Not sure what other mfgs. use such a "generic" adapter. Any ideas on who may have these?

          Regards,
          Nick

            My nVidia card came with a grey one. You can order them online at any place where you can order Cables and such.

              DVI and VGA are standard socket types. The same converter will be found on nVidia, ATI, and Matrox cards.

              A store might charge way too much for it. You might do well by asking around - if a friend of yours has a digital flatpanel, he probably got one with his video card that he's not using.

                  Thanks Kurt, very kind of you. There are a few local friends that recently upgraded to LCD monitors (and cards), so will check with them first.
