  • New Bios upgrade for Parhelia, P750 and P650

Has nobody see the new bios upgrade possibility yet at matrox!
Since 8 dec.2004 there is V1.06.00.009 in a file called:
    setup p106.exe.
There is no additional info concerning this file on the Matrox site.
Is there someone out there which is able to figger out what the diferences are?

Thanks. I would not know this was out if you hadn't posted this. And as usual Matrox don't give any info about the update.

Thanks for the info, this is BIOS version 2.0...I just flashed it and everything seems fine. Would love to see some release notes, though.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

Five more days until the one year anniversary of the Parhelia linux driver... let's see if they come out with another one in the next decade....

Quick question, does this Bios have a recovery floppy, like you can get for the Gxxx series? Since a friend of mine had one just not boot back up one day, I was hoping maybe I could use a Bios Restore disk on it and get it to work again. It'd be much easier than RMA'ing the thing, especially since he's lazy.

i flashed it some days ago and recognized that vesa mode in reactos now works for me.reactos always froze while booting with older bios versions.
                so they obviously changed SOMETHING...

                ;-)

I put my Parhelia (original bios) in an ASUS P4P800-E DLX today - wasted over an hour because there was a conflict and I couldn't see a bios screen until I flashed 1.06 and then ran the logoconflict fix

I still have problems joining the domain in XP but that is another story.
