  • G400 in AGP 3.0 board?

Can a G400 (revision 4) be put in a mainboard that comes with AGP 3.0? I´m specifically looking for the Asus A7V600-X.

    TIA

_Nomally_ VIA uses the AGP 3.0 Universal (or sth like that) standard that will let you put even an AGP 1x card in the slot.

Don't know for that specific board though, check in the BIOS whether there's an option to set AGP to 4x or 2x (or even 1x)

The G400 MAY work in that board, as some universal setups work fine, but the problem is the G400 was built before that setup was conceived. If you do a search for the G400 Resistor on this forum, you will find more information as to "why"

AFAI remember part number is everything we need to say if it'll work without resistor mod...

My G400 works flawlessly in ASrock board with AGPx8
