RGB via Scart on G550 or G450 possible?

Hi!

I'd like to know if the RGB-Cable for G400 also works on G450 or G550 cards?

I am relating to this construction manual:

BTW, which of the two cards (G450 / G550) offers a better image quality for my purpose?

not possible with the G400 schematic. You need to follow this schematic instead for the G450 or G550:

Image quality on TV will be identical afaik on G450 and G550. G400 has hardware scaling for windows desktop to tv-out, so it'll be much faster for non-video purposes (not sure about video scaling, think that's handled by the video overlay scaler in either case). Also I've heard that the software algorythm for scaling on the G450/G550 also is worse in quality than the hw one in the G400.

Does anybody know if this will work on G550 PCIe?

Or if it workes on some of the Parhelia based cards (P650 AGP & PCIe)?

G550 PCIe probably follow the same schematics as the G550 PCI.

The parhelia/p-series don't support SCART-RGB except for some high-end board which state support for it explicitly on the product page on the website.
