I've used and supplied Matrox exclusively, ever since my first 2MB Millenium. When I fired up a customer's machine that had a couple of Nvidias a few months back, I at first thought the cards were defective, so blurry was the image compared to my G450s.

It's hard to imagine a computer company choosing an OEM card for Vista that can't display the desktop the same way as its competitors do, even for office use. Can Matrox really be walking away from the entire segment, because without DX9 it's gone anyway?

For myself, I care only about picture quality, not games, and since I'm not ready to get rid of my Mitsubishi Diamond Pro and Sony F520 just yet, analog still matters to me. What's a guy to do? I suppose I can live without Vista Aero but I suspect most people will not want to. So sad.

I still have an analog monitor and the P650. And I'm still satisfied with these. I don't play 3D games though. I tried ATI 9500 once but returned it very soon.
