    Notes and known issues:
    - Before installing this driver, we recommend you uninstall your current display driver using Microsoft Add/Remove Programs. Don't uninstall drivers if products by Matrox Video or Matrox Imaging are installed in your system.
    - This driver supports independent and stretched multi-display modes as well as extra display resolutions, including support for custom resolutions
    - For more information about independent and stretched mode support for quad-display products for this driver, click here
    - This "SE" driver has a standard interface that doesn't require Microsoft .NET Framework software.
    - The TV output capability of QID graphics cards is not supported with this driver. TV-out is only supported with a 1.x SE based driver and only in SD and in stretched mode.

    What, no G400MAX support? My Dad still uses one in his work computer.

      That is odd. THe 450/550 are at best a die shrink. I can understand not updating the G200 and earlier but come ON. Would it have been that much harder to add some new G400 lovin'?

        From what I remember - they just don't list G400 in release notes, but drivers are working (when I checked with some older ones)

          They don't sell G400/G400MAX anymore, but they still do sell G450/G550 cards. Maybe that's the reason for not listing G400 series.

              Post a follow up if he does. I got an older PC (P3-700Mhz) that's got a G400MAX in it that I would not mind bringing out of storage if this works.

                I remember some 2003 vintage G-series 6.xx drivers worked with Millennium PCI though they didn't list it.

                    They have some items listed with the status "Out of Stock", but you can actually buy these cards.

                      I tried these drivers with my ordinary G450. There is a good and a bad news:

                      Good news: It worked on this card, and I suppose that it would on G400 (unless G400 is intentionally banned by the driiver's installer).
                      Bad news: This new driver edition is a crap. I see no reason at all to use it. I'll still for sure be using classic drivers for G2xx/4xx (v6.83 for Win9x and v5.96 for Win2K/XP). These new drivers are bloated and with LESS features than the classic drivers. There is a web page somewhere on Matrox's site which has a table in which is a comparision of featuers of their driver editions. Try to find it and see for yourself.
