  • Expendable g400 version...bdf error? huh...

First off, expendable runs just fine. After running it once, and then trying the next day or whatever, it gives me 'fatal error!: the bdf missing' and I have to reinstall it. Its an expendable error, not a winblows one. Repeatable.

Ok, WTF? It works fine (I played it halfway through for fun) for hours on end. I quit, reboot for whatever reason, bam no more expendable until a nice loooong reinstall (may be only 276mb, but takes forever even on 32x)

No viruses, and as far as I can tell all the proper files are there. I compared the folder size and file count before and after a reinstall, nothing changes. (still takes forever to reinstall though :/ )

Nothing else has trouble, q2, q3a, HL ogl and d3d, dualhead, dvd, tv-out...which is odd considering some people have trouble with all those after installing a g400.

Max, BH6, C450/256, uwscsi blah blah blah not important AFAIK. g400 irq *is* isolated.

Is the cd in the drive? 'Cause that the error I get when trying to launch the game without the cd...

You need the cd? SHIT. I'll check. Thx...stay tuned.

I hate cd-scanning games. I've got my cd drives disconnected right now in a vain attempt to find out WhyTF my scsi drive randomly spins down once or twice a day. Pulling all ide stuff seems to help some or all(? we'll see) oddly.

        Fixed. Yup, cd.

BTW folks, don't plug in ide drives while windows is running. Even though it worked for me

Don't worry be happy, copy the bdf directory from the cd to your expandable directory on your hard drive, that's all.

          Happy gaming...
