  • How do I make screenshots?

I want to make some screenshots of Quake2 & 3 and was wondering how it is done. Do I need to D/L something or is Windoze capable of doing that?

    Thanks, NightOps

Just hit your printscreen key. That'll copy the current screen to your clipboard. Then paste into a paint program and save.

In Quake 3 add the following to the end of your q3config.cfg file in q3test/baseq3 or whatever the name of the directory is

      bind f11 "screenshot"

then press F11 and you will get a screenshot, in Quake 2 i think the default key is F12 but it might be F11

ps don't forget to stick one of those little block on the end just cut and paste it inside q3config.cfg or it won't work

The screenshots will be saved in .tga bitmap format. Hope this helps
