  • A whole new HL+G200 problem!

When I run in OpenGL using Kruzin's config I keep getting those U_REMOVE errors. When I play using D3D I don't lose packets but I the text for the score list is white/yellow blocks instead of text. What can I do to play in OpenGL or fix my text?
    I'm using a Marvel G200 with BIOS 2.3 and drivers 5.25 on a Win98, K62-350, SB Live Value computer.

    Grazie,
    Thien

Adjust these commands to get rif od the packet loss:
fps_modem "30" (or lower if needed)
    rate "3000" (or lower)

If you are on a cable modem or anything else that uses a netork card, instead of fps_modem, use fps_lan

My fps_modem is already 25 but I had the rate at 3500, so I guess I'll try that out, thanks.

u_remove is due to the indadequacy to handle the use of delta compression. The best trick to get rid of u_remove is to toggle the cl_nodelta variable. cl_nodelta 1 will disable delta compression and you won't get the u_remove statements. The drawback is your rate command basically gets chopped in half. So a rate of 3000 will run like 1500 or so. My advice, get a better isp or a better connection... cuz I doubt it's your config. U_remove is network oriented...

I get 225 latency using D3D with no lag on my computer unless the whole server lags and everyone says, "Whoa, that was bad lag." So it isn't my ISP or modem(56K). The last time I got those U_REMOVEs was before the netcode got it's first patch.
