  • Tribes demo/G400, crashes to dekstop

    As soon as I hit 'apply' in the graphics options screen, I crash right back to desktop. Glide works OK.

    Anyone else have this problem?

    ....getting real sick of crap like this....

    Yes, same problem here, it
    works only in software mode.

    A general G400 problem I believe.
    Great game, though.

      Look into your Mobo bios and search for 'vga boot sequence' ...

      this is used for the system to determine the primary and secondary vga adapter and is usually defaulted to 'PCI/AGP'.

      Change to 'AGP/PCI' and see if the problem remains.

        Thanks Maggi, but I already checked that. Hardware wise, I think everything is as good as it's going to get. I'm sending my G400 back (I've got the horizontal line action going on here too).
        So far, this G400 has been a great argument against Glide being dead
