  • G200, Unreal, DX7 instable?

    I upgraded DX from 6.2 (win98 SE) to 7.0
    With DX 6.2 I measured around 20fps in 640x480 32 bit.

    That figure didn't change much since installing DX 7.0. However the flyby seems to stutter every few seconds. Multiplayer DM is extremely slow, and after playing about 20 minutes the sound disappears and the PC hangs, no matter what host I connect to.

    I use PWD 5.25 which worked for me with DX6.2.

    In Unreal I have all options on, except volumetric lightning.

    I'll try if disabling 3d sound hardware accelaration gives better results (Turtle Beach Montego I).

    I'll let you know.
