G400 + Rogue Spear = Crash to desktop

Rogue Spear suffers from (well, what I think) bad drivers. I've tried powerdesk 5.11, 5.15 and 5.25 and they all crash to the desktop after a few minutes of gameplay.

Q: Is there anything I can do? (apart from playing the game in software-mode, which works. =/

It works here ( demo )with the latest drivers. Post your game platform with details of the settings you use in the game.

But had that problem with drakan, and disabling bumpmapping was the solution

Get dx7 from microsoft, i had that prob when i had dx 5 instead.
also, another thing that could cause this is heat
try removeing your case and find out if that works
if it doesn't, and you are overclocking either your cpu or card, set them at default.
and, if posible
put your agp ratios as follows
if you have a pentium 2 350 or higher (p 3 included) put it at 2/3
if you have any celeron or p 2 233-333 put it at 1/1

rouge spear is a real great game, i have not noticed one error, and the grafics are stunning in multiplayer deathmatch.

I experienced the same problems with it, using the 4.50 drivers, it kept crashing.

I offered UT because it is a solid game, even the demo has a "completness" about itself.


I suppose you like DeltaForce2 as well?
