    Nascar 3........Anybody?

    Hey KB! I have not found this title yet! dont give up. I bet your getting good. Have you found any cars on the web? Hows the Multiplayer on the web?

    The game is more like N2 on steriods but with the improved graphics and 3d sound it rocks. The D3D looks incredible at 1024. It's pretty much the same engine as N2 but with some nice additions. The multi-player is free through won.net and the interface is loaded with the game. If latency problems don't get you, the rookies will, . If only I could get those 5.25 drivers working correctly . This is the only game that gives me these problems. Could it be a D3D problem with the game itself? I am getting 40fps in the flyby demo with unreal at 1024 and it looks outstanding.

      Hi,
      I have the same problems with the white flashes under cars in N3.
      I still have my duel Voodoo 2 setup in my system so I use that. The white flashes were aggrivating.
      It is obviosly a problem with the Matrox drivers. I didn't really try fooling with any settings like pallet based textures to see if that helped. Maybe you have to turn ogg triple buffering or something.
      I'll have to try it again with the G400 and fool a little with settings and see if I can fix it on my system.
      But ya, I have the same problem.

        I got an e-mail from a guy at Matrox today and he said they haven't tested the game yet but have other complaints about the same problem. He said they should be getting the game anyday and would post the results. If I hear anything I will post it.

          Nascar 3........Anybody?

          I have posted a couple of times about Nascar 3 and I guess nobody has this game. I thought I would try one more time before I gave it up. Here is the problem, when I run the PD 5.11 drivers from the cd everything works fine in N3. When I run the 5.20 or 5.25 PD versions I get white flashes around the other cars as well as at the start finish line. It gets worse depending on how many cars are around me. I am getting 4-5 fps more with 5.25 drivers and would like to use them for that reason. Any help would be appreciated.

            The flashes occur in drivers 5.21 and newer. I reinstalled 5.13 and the flashes are gone. By the way have any of you tried DX7? I installed DX7 with the 5.13 drivers and N3 got real choppy. I did a full reinstall of WIN98SE with the DX that comes with it (I believe it is 6.3?) and used 5.13 and it is smooth as silk at 1024x768 all graphics on.
